Check out the latest Mario Bros games

Mario was created by game designer Shigeru Miyamoto. The famous cartoon star made his first appearance back in 1981 in Donkey Kong. From then he has appeared in over 200 games. Mario has grown with Nintendo and coming up for him soon is the Olympic Games.

The Wii and 3DS are releasing Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games. The release date for the game on the Wii is November 2011 and the release date for the 3DS is expected to be in February 2012. It is going to be an official game of the Olympics and has been officially licensed by the International Olympic Committee.

It is expected that the playable characters are the same as Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, with more focus being aimed at gameplay and new events. They are not just repackaging the old game and changing the backgrounds - they have over 100 developers working to make it bigger and better than the last Mario and Sonic at the Olympics.

The 3DS will probably offer more pleasant surprises than the Wii because the events will require using the circle pad, touch screen, microphone and tilt control.

There are new events being brought into the game including football and equestrian and probably many more. The previous Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games have sold over 19 million copies and this looks like it will be another hit. Mario has come a long way since 1981 with a few epic games along the way - but the Olympics is surely one of the top Mario Bros games!
