Who offers the cheapest Wii package in UK

The last month has been a busy time for Nintendo. Not only have we seen the announcement of their next console, code named Project Cafe, which is expected to take over from the Wii as their main focus of attention either at the end of this year or the beginning of the next, but we have also seen massive price cuts for their hugely successful Wii console in anticipation of the Project Cafe unveiling.

When the console launched back in 2006, it came with a not altogether unreasonable price tag of £179. It was this price point coupled with the revolutionary motion based controls that quickly earned the system the title of best selling console of this generation. Even now the system continues to be an amazing seller for the Japanese company, and it passed the 80,000,000 sales mark in March of this year - not bad when you consider that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 have both barely managed to exceed the 50,000,000 figure in their entire lifetimes.

So with prices at an all time low, just who sells the cheapest Wii package in the UK? Well, that very much depends on what it is you're looking for. Amazon, as always, lead the way with some fantastic bundles. You can pick up the White Wii console plus the Mario Kart Wii game, a white Wii steering wheel and Wii Motion Plus controller, or your choice of black or white Wii console with the Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort games plus Wii Motion Plus controller for just £99.00.

In the high street, Tesco currently offer the best deal with a bundle including Wii Sports Resort, Game Party 3, GoldenEye 007, Mini Ninjas, Epic Mickey and Madagascar Kartz plus Wii Motion Plus controller available for an astonishing £169.00.

So if you've been holding off on buying a Wii for your household, there really is no better time to invest than right now!
