Buy cheap laptops at Argos

Buying a new laptop doesn't have to mean a huge outlay on your behalf, despite what many people think about the expense of the portable computers. Gone are the days when you'd need to spend close to a thousand pounds just to have a system in any way capable of performing taxing tasks, and now we have a consumer focussed market where there's something available for absolutely every budget.

These days you don't even need to go to a specialist store in order to find great laptops and top notch advice from knowledgeable staff. Traditional non high tech stores like Argos are getting in on the act and offering their customers competitively priced systems with great specifications for a fraction of the price you would have expected to find just a handful of years ago.

One quick look at the Argos website will give you an idea of just how much things have changed. The site lists over 125 laptops and almost 50 netbooks or mini laptops available for sale and, while not all of them could be considered cheap laptops, more of them are teetering on bargain territory.

Take, for example, the Toshiba C660 15.6" laptop which is available for £349.99, down from £499.99. This system features an Intel Core i3 380M processor with a speed of 2.53GHz and 2GB of DDR3 RAM and a 320GB hard drive.

Or if you're looking for something a little smaller, you could consider the svelte MSI Wind U135 netbook. It may only have a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 processor and 1GB of RAM, but its 7 hour battery life makes it a great choice for a portable device - especially at a cost of just £179.99, a saving of £70.
