Burglar bungles thanks to Facebook

An alleged house burglar allegedly got caught after committing his alleged crime this week after he stopped mid-crime to check up on his Facebook status on his victim’s laptop, then forgot to either steal the laptop or log off from his account. Seriously.

Nineteen-year-old Jonathan G. Parker, from Fort Loudoun, Pennsylvania, apparently robbed two diamond rings, then sat down to check up on what major lols were happening out there on the internets. The victim subsequently went to check her own Facebook page after the crime, only to find that Parker hadn’t logged off from her computer. Which it has to be said, is really very stupid indeed.

For his sins, Parker has been charged with one count of daytime burglary, which is a felony in the States, and could lead to prison time. So it’s not all bad news.
