Baby named Hashtag gets a Facebook page

Ever since someone actually called their child Depressed Cupboard Cheesecake back in the 1970’s – a moniker that certainly reflected the wild optimism of the times, the trend for ludicrous names has been steadily building. With a logic that reflects the world financial system rather well – have fun now and somebody else will pay later, parents seem to be slapping their thighs in undeserved glee as their poor offspring either face a lifetime of mockery and abuse or are forced to craft a ‘quirky’ enough personality to pull it off.

Well the er ‘comedy’ has now gone all social media. An infant bestowed with the regal title of Hashtag has entered the world and of course – his parents while definitely not being attention seekers at all have set up a Facebook page for the poor little tyke. Now this could be a joke of course – but with celebrities disappearing ever further up their own orifices with names like Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lilly, Apple and Brooklyn, there is every likelihood that this is no joke. Apparently Gwynneth Paltrow is weighing up the names Organic Humous and Unpretentiously Bland Yoga for her next child. Sorry, THAT WAS A JOKE.

Anyway – moving swiftly on. Frank Zappa was certainly in the vanguard of the bonkers names for children craze. With epic names for his children like Moon Unit and Dweezil, he certainly set the standard. Some of todays’ don’t have quite the same ring to them as no doubt Rooney Scholes, Gordon Alistair Darling-Brown and.... CutoutDissection.com will agree when they are old enough to sue. As for Captain Fantastic Faster Than Superman Spiderman Batman Wolverine Hulk And The Flash Combined – let’s hope he’s a looker eh.

But there is one name thrown up by the digital revolution that really rings very sweet. @. Yes @.To the horror of notoriously flexible and humorous Chinese officials, that is what a Chinese couple named their child. And the character in Chinese means ‘love him’. 1.2.3 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
