We review Assassins Creed on Xbox 360

Ever since its release in 2007, Assassins Creed Xbox 360 has been winning the hearts of gamers around the world, thanks to a blend of gorgeous open world visuals, and thrilling stealth game play.

Published by gaming giants Ubisoft, the original came out in time for Christmas 2007, and despite competition from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and Mass Effect, it quickly developed a healthy cult following.

The game puts you in the shoes of a modern-day descendent of a line of assassins, who travels back into their bodies to learn more about a sinister plot that could have implications in modern times. The player does this by entering a machine that allows them to revisit the memories of their descendants.

The game was a huge seller, and we highly recommend checking it out!

It was followed up at Christmas 2009 with Assassins Creed 2, which opened up a massive world of renaissance Italy to be explored, and plenty of targets to be killed! This further improved on the stealth of the original by offering much more tricky and satisfying kills for a player to pull off.

This game garnered even more impressive reviews, with some commentators naming it their game of 2009. It helped set the scene for Assassins Creed: Brotherhood, a direct follow up which put the player into the middle of Renaissance Rome as they bid to uncover a shady plot.

There are further titles planned in this excellent series, and if you haven't tried them out yet, then what are you waiting for?
