iPhone users have gotten used to doing without Adobe Flash, the software which runs most videos on the web - and which Big Steve Jobs won't allow on his device. But now there's hope. A nifty new app named Skyfire reckons it's found the answer.
An alternative browser, it has funky software built-in which turns Flash videos into iPhone-compatible HTML5 video. The bad news is, it does that by sending things to the maker's own servers for converting, so it's a little slow. What's more, the makers are trying not to get overloaded, so they're restricting access to the app on the App Store now. But keep checking, it'll be available soon.
We don't know if the coding process uses loads of our annual data. We just know it lets us watch Gizmodo videos. That's all we really care about.
