A Three-dimensional giveaway

Sony have hit upon a novel way to get people to buy their new 3D tellies: give away some 3D PS3 games to make the most of the silly glasses wearing action. Which is quite a nice thing to do frankly, even if the tellies themselves will probably cost more money than any of us could ever hope to afford.

Anyway, if you wish you put your life savings on the line for the sake of an interesting television experience, the Sony Bravia HX803 and LX903 are the ones you want to look out for. They will come with four stereoscopic PSN games, which you have to access with codes: three episodes of PAIN, the full games of WipEout HD and Super Stardust HD and the demo of Motorstorm Pacific rift. As well as that there will 3D UKTV offerings and some 3D films, including Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and Deep Sea. Not a bad haul at all.

‘Built upon Sony's very latest 200Hz high frame rate technology that allows viewers to see 3D in full High Definition 1080p fidelity, the High Definition 3D image is further enhanced with the inclusion of 'High Speed Precision, 'LED Boost' and '3D up conversion', three technologies unique to Sony and designed to make the 3D image even clearer and brighter and the 3D experience even more exciting,’ said Sony's rather dull press release. Still we’ll forgive them; the tellies are supposed to be out in time for the World Cup, of which Sony is a sponsor.
