Apple have snapped up the rather nifty voice search app Siri for teh iPhone, in what is a rather brazen attempt to take on Google Voice Search for the Android phone. There are some who think that we will very likely see the introduction of the app, sexed up by Apple themselves in time for the release of iPhone 4.0, and if it is iPhone owners should be in for a treat.
The app itself is very handy indeed, as you can see form the video below, even if as for now it’s only available in the States. It can turn questions like ‘where is the nearest waterpark?’ (or whatever, you take your pick) into proper online searches that will work for all sorts of online services, including booking services. This means you will be able to book tables at restaurants or taxis through the system. Handy, no?
