A review of the Sony P Tablet

The Sony P Tablet is a lightweight and ultra-portable Android tablet featuring two screens of 5 inch. Some of the applications, such as the integrated e-book reader, use both screens, while others can only be used on one screen, as it is the case with many of the Android applications.

Technical characteristics

The Sony P Tablet literally folds in half and when opened, it reveals two screens that are separated by a 5-inch hinge. The back cover displays are rounded and thus when the tablet is closed it looks similar to a glasses case. The tablet includes a photo sensor and a front camera, a USB port, 4 GB of internal storage as well as a 3G connection. Weighing only 372 grams, it is one of the lightest tablets on the market. The tablet can be used for playing PS Games, as it comes with PlayStation certification.


The Sony P Tablet comes with the Android Honeycomb 3.2 operating system created by Google. There are five screens available for the user to populate with widgets and apps. Navigation through the menus is very simple, due to the touch-sensitive dual screens. The displays have resolutions of 1024 x 480 and they present very crisp images. The tablet can be used comfortably in bright sunlight and it features very good viewing angles. The battery lasts for approximately four hours when the tablet is used for watching videos or playing games. The tablet features an internal Micro SD slot and a mini USB port.


There are several accessories available for the Sony P Tablet. You can purchase a rechargeable battery pack that will offer you more power when you are on the go. In order to avoid scratching the screen, you can consider purchasing an LCD screen protector. Finally, there are several carrying cases available for the tablet in order to protect it when travelling.
