If you think you might be interested in a cheap tablet PC, we can recommend one

It seems like a tablet PC is an essential accessory for almost everyone in all walks of life these days. While the last few years saw the gradual introduction of the technology, we have seen huge uptake in the latest models in the last twelve months or so, and now companies are starting to find ways to give us cheaper tablets than ever. However where can you find the very best deal on a top quality, but still cheap, tablet PC?

That's a difficult question to answer, and it very much depends on your definition of the word "cheap". If you're willing to spend between £200 and £300, then there is only one winner for us.

Costing just £249.99, the Advent Vega is an excellent Android 2.2 powered tablet PC that will be able to handle pretty much anything you care to throw at it. In terms of specifications, it boasts a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra processor which is backed by 512MB of RAM. On top of that, you get 512MB of built in system storage space, which you can expand to up to 32GB with the use of a MicroSD card. This is something we thoroughly recommend you do, since there's really not enough space on the product straight out of the box.

The capacitative LCD touch screen is capable of multi-touch response, and displays at 1024 x 600 pixels putting it up there with the best of the major tablets. It also has a 1.3 Mega Pixel rear facing camera for those of you who like to take snaps on the go, however the lack of a front facing camera may prove to be a problem for those of you who like to use Skype.

Another issue, although not quite as big, is the lack of 3G functionality. You can get around this by tethering the device via WiFi to your 3G phone (assuming you have one).

For the money, you'll not find anything better on the market. You can find out more about this cheap tablet PC at myadventvega.co.uk.
